Russian Links> Our Russian friends

David Rigby started visiting a church in Moscow in 1992 through the invitation of one of his church members who was working in Moscow at the time.

Since then, David has visited Russia nearly 50 times, and now serves churches over a large geographical area around and including Moscow. He helps churches develop pastoral teams and train leaders. There are now a large number of churches throughout Russia and the Ukraine which have joined the Newfrontiers family, and David is part of the team supporting and overseeing this exciting area.

We now have links to churches in Moscow, Tver, Niznhi Novgorod, Obninsk, Podolsk, Klimovsk, Domodedovo, Zaraisk, Kolumna, Lipetsk, Griazy and Orel.

But our Russian links don't end with David Rigby. As a church, KCC has 'adopted' this vision. Each summer different people in the church host Russian leaders who are invited to England to attend the annual Newfrontiers leadership conference. This is a chance for us to get to know our friends more and to show them a little of England.

For the last two summers, KCC members have visited Russia to serve the churches by undertaking manual work on projects such as drug rehabilitation centres and church building renovations.
